Vura Studios was built on a simple frustration — the feeling of stepping into a beautifully lit hotel bathroom, adjusting a perfectly positioned wall mirror, and thinking: why can’t I have this at home?
Our founder, Marcus, spent years working in commercial interior design — fitting out boutique hotels, high-end spas, and luxury residences across North America and Europe. Project after project, clients would walk into a completed bathroom and immediately gravitate toward the mirror. Not the tiles. Not the fixtures. The mirror.
“A mirror isn’t just functional,” Marcus would say. “It’s the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you check before you leave. It sets the tone for your whole day.”
The problem was that the mirrors making spaces feel truly luxurious — the articulating wall-mounted styles, the precision-weighted vanity mirrors — were sourced through commercial suppliers at commercial prices. They weren’t accessible to everyday homeowners, and the consumer alternatives just didn’t measure up.
In 2021, Marcus left the firm, partnered with a small team of product designers, and set out to change that. Vura Studios was born.
“We didn’t want to make another bathroom product. We wanted to make the one thing in your bathroom you actually interact with feel like it was designed for you.”
Every Vura mirror starts with the same brief: hotel-grade quality, honest materials, and a design that earns its place on the wall for decades. We work with a manufacturing partner who has supplied premium hospitality brands for over 30 years, applying those same tolerances and finish standards to everything we sell.
Our Modern Vanity Mirror is available in five sizes because bathrooms aren’t one-size-fits-all. Our 8” Makeup Mirror uses the same articulating arm technology found in four and five-star properties worldwide. Nothing is decorative for its own sake — every feature serves a purpose.
Sustainability, for us, starts with longevity. The most wasteful product is the one you replace every few years. We built our mirrors to last a lifetime — which is exactly why we back them with one.
Beyond durability, we’ve made deliberate choices throughout our supply chain: recycled packaging materials, carbon-offset shipping on all orders, and a manufacturing partner who holds ISO 14001 environmental certification.
All materials made from post-consumer recycled content. No foam, no filler waste.
Every order ships carbon-neutral through our logistics partner’s offset program.
Lifetime-grade hardware means fewer replacements and less landfill.
Controlled runs avoid overstock waste and ensure every unit is inspected.
A decade in commercial interiors, a frustration with the consumer market, and a conviction that good design shouldn’t stop at a hotel lobby. Marcus oversees every product decision at Vura Studios and still personally reviews each new prototype before it goes to production.
We’re a small team — nine people across product, operations, and customer experience — and we intend to stay that way. Every mirror that leaves our facility has been touched by someone who cares about it. We think that matters.
